Argue however you want, but what we have learnt to accept is his demonstrated clarity behind the quality of civility. How has he as a good human being beside having the highest power as a politician and possessing the ability to create a mechanism for hostilities suitably confounded the school teacher through his mercy, compassion and forgiveness leaving aside his high position?
It always was thought by the society that the politicians seldom shy away from digging their heels in vengeance. He thought of the teacher’s family and ordered cancellation of his suspension at all. He appeared to have followed the Gandhian values, “if someone slaps you on one side of your face, turn the other one to him.”
In the Gospel of Matthew, an alternative for an eye to eye is given by Jesus Christ: He repudiates it by saying do not resist one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Whatever be the Congress leaders’ image in the political realm, the example set by Kamal Nath, chief minister of Madhya Pradesh has finely lifted his sincerity and civility. One headmaster of government primary school in Jabalpur was heard calling CM the names before a handful of people.
This was clearly observable in a viral video circulated early this week. After receiving a complaint from a Congress party leader the district magistrate of Jabalpur suspended the headmaster for violating conduct rules. He criticized the CM by calling him a dacoit.
Despite this disobedience towards a democratically elected chief minister his suspension though justified by the defined conduct rules, Kamal Nath denied any strict action against him. Keeping in mind his family he saved him from falling into further trouble.
He hoped he would focus on his duties more than faltering from his noble teaching job. When his family was wholly dependent upon him, his suspension would cause him only problems so he never minded the teacher’s impertinent inclination.
