Be A Wise Voter: Look At The Candidate From Your Own Constituency First

Casting your vote without worrying about who the local candidate is and becoming a fan of a particular individual is the single biggest blunder committed by many Indians in the so called democratic elections since the inception of free and divided India.

Divided in the name of caste, creed, colour, religion, region, sex, status, and many more, we are fooling our minds with the most overrated slogan “Unity in Diversity”.

India has many colours, and it has separate issues for every different parliament/ legislative assembly constituencies. It is the most addictive illusion nurtured by the politicians in Lutyens that we have to cast our vote with keeping in mind the after effects of an election. We are pressurized enough to deliver a single mandate in favour of one largest party so that the popular one become a PM/CM.

But do we think once before doing this? We are the so called ‘powerful voters’ in this republic India, but we discard  the importance of choosing your representative from your area. Believe me, this should matter for every local voter –  who are the people contesting and how they are. It is a totally wrong approach to think about indirectly elected people – PM/CM.

We need to ensure that we are sending the right candidate to the Parliament/ Legislative Assembly.

We must send a deserving candidate to the house, one who can raise your local issues without thinking about party lines. And this is possible. Scan each and everyone and then cast your vote. Don’t become a election time sell outt (craving for free lunch/money) or a mad useless fan of any political personality.

Save the structure of democracy. One single man can’t solve each and every local issue of this wonderland.

Note: After reading this, many readers will surely question me:

  1. If we chose the candidate without thinking about party, then how PM/ CM will decided?
  2. Do I support the alliance government where everything is centralized around the supreme chair?

Answer to the second question is NO. But if any such issue arises in the future, then if we should cast our vote honestly and send the right person from every constituency, then we should not bother about this trivial issue. Those who have zeal to serve our motherland will not focus on the wooden chair.

Answer to the first question, let the Constitution Committee decide. Your task is to send the right one. Just do it.
