Dear Youth of Hyderabad,
Subject: Invitation for participation in the LEARN Project – Parliamentary Programme from the Office of Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament from Hyderabad.
Hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. I write to you as your representative in the Parliament of India. As a concerned legislator, I would like to draw your attention to the important role that you must play in strengthening India’s parliamentary democracy. I have consistently advocated for imbibing a democratic spirit within the youth to safeguard the rights of all citizens that are guaranteed by our Constitution. Strengthening the roots of democracy in our young nation requires an impetus to the empowerment of the youth through formal political processes. At present, there is scarcity of democratic fora and media for the youth to express and develop their understanding as well as aspirations in the field of Parliamentary Democracy.
As your chosen representative from Hyderabad, I have initiated the LEARN Project to provide a platform to the young people of Hyderabad to engage with each other about their concerns, aspirations and vision about the city. The LEARN Project, first of its kind, aims to train young minds in democratic functioning, taking them a step closer to understanding India’s parliamentary democracy and becoming active citizens (in the making of Hyderabad and India).
I am confident that with your participation we will succeed in creating a politically mature and aware generation which can strive towards enriching our society and creating a more accountable government in the future.
In this regard, I formally invite you, the youth of Hyderabad, to participate in this aspirational program.
